NJABR IACUC 25 Conference
November 9, 2018 | Somerset, NJ
The New Jersey Association for Biomedical Research (NJABR) will hold the IACUC 25 Conference on November 9, 2018 in Somerset, NJ. NJABR’s annual IACUC Conference is the region’s premier training event for Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee members and managers, laboratory animal veterinarians, animal welfare compliance specialists, laboratory animal care staff and other research team members. This year’s conference will focus on opportunities to improve laboratory animal welfare, while reducing regulatory burden, cutting red tape and creating efficiencies within institutions.
IACUC 25 will open with a keynote presentation from Paula Clifford, Executive Director of Americans for Medical Progress about the importance of collaboration, openness, and transparency among organizations and institutions seeking to advance scientific discovery. The morning session will also feature presentations and a moderated panel discussion with regulatory experts in the field, including representatives from AAALAC, USDA, and OLAW. Highlighting the morning plenary session will be a presentation discussing outsourcing animal studies and ensuring animal welfare led by NJABR member institution representatives.
