OLAW Guidance on Annual Reports, Semiannual Inspections, and the AAALAC International Program Description

The second session of OLAW Conversations will focus on OLAW’s guidance in response to the 21st Century Cures Act. This session will discuss recently released OLAW guidance in response to the initiatives outlined in the report Reducing Administrative Burden for Researchers: Animal Care and Use in Research, including:
- the update to the reporting period of the OLAW Annual Report
- flexibilities for conducting semiannual inspections; and
- use of the AAALAC International Program Description in the OLAW Domestic Assurance
Panelists will include representatives from OLAW, the USDA, and AAALAC International. Please join us on August 24, 2021, from 1:30 to 3:30 PM ET for this free, interactive virtual event.
OLAW Conversations is a new limited series from OLAW and the ICARE Project that focuses on hot topics in the animal care and use community. The sessions are discussion-based, where information is presented by subject matter experts and attendees add to the conversation by sharing their ideas, perspectives, and questions. Experts will also weigh in on participant discussion to offer insights and ensure regulatory compliance, where applicable.
