- OLAW Online Seminars:
A virtual series designed to help Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees (IACUCs) and Institutional Officials (IOs) explore their responsibilities in the oversight of PHS-funded research that involves the use of live vertebrate animals. The program is tailored to IACUC staff, IACUC members, IOs, veterinarians, compliance personnel, animal care staff, and others involved in animal programs at PHS-Assured institutions. Registration is free. - OLAW Conversations:
A discussion-based virtual offering from OLAW, that is part of the ICARE Project, where information is presented by subject matter experts, and attendees add to the conversation by sharing their ideas, perspectives, and questions. Experts will also weigh in on participant discussion to offer insights and ensure regulatory compliance, where applicable. These sessions will not be recorded, and therefore, participation will be limited to those who register for the live events and transcripts will not be available. Participation is open to those involved in animal care and use programs, including IACUC members and staff, Institutional Officials, veterinarians, animal facilities personnel, administrators, consultants, and compliance and regulatory personnel. Registration is free. - IACUC 101 Series:
An educational program designed to provide IACUC members, administrators, veterinarians, animal care staff, researchers, regulatory personnel, and compliance officers information about the role and responsibilities of the IACUC, including an understanding of federal policies and regulations governing laboratory animal welfare. The faculty consists of nationally recognized experts and representatives from private and academic biomedical research institutions, OLAW, USDA, and AAALAC International. - ICARE Academies:
An educational program that offers participants an understanding of research animal welfare and IACUC oversight issues through active learning and scientific teaching. Attendees work in both large interactive sessions and small facilitated breakout groups. In all of the sessions, attendees engage in learning activities such as interactive presentations, group work, and discussions. Participation is open to those involved in animal care and use programs, including IACUC members and staff, Institutional Officials, veterinarians, animal facilities personnel, administrators, consultants, and compliance and regulatory personnel.
