OLAW has posted a new video on MOUs and collaborations for on-demand viewing. With special thanks to PRIM&R, OLAW’s contribution to the PRIM&R Webinar “Understanding Agreement Types That Impact Your Committee” on May 14, 2025, has been shared as a community resource. This video goes through questions such as:
- Why are formal written agreements important?
- What needs to be in a formal written agreement?
- When is a formal written agreement needed?
- and more!
This video can be found on the "Sample Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) for Collaborating Institutions” webpage in the Sample Documents section of the OLAW website.

Changes to the OLAW Website: Navigation Bar Updates
OLAW’s website includes several navigation bars designed to help you find information quickly, including Policies and Laws, Education, Resources, and soon Welfare and Compliance Topics (formerly Guidance). This navigation bar title will be changing to better reflect the range of animal welfare and compliance topics under this heading. Welfare and Compliance Topics will still contain the same topics-based resources, and the link to the Guide Notices will be moved to the OLAW homepage.
