The OLAW Online Seminars program is a free webinar series designed to help Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees (IACUCs) and Institutional Officials (IOs) explore their responsibilities in the oversight of PHS-funded research that involves the use of live vertebrate animals. The program is tailored to IACUC staff, IACUC members, IOs, veterinarians, compliance personnel, animal care staff, and others involved in animal programs at PHS-Assured institutions.
Schedule
Webinars will be held quarterly on Thursdays starting at 1PM Eastern time (12 Noon Central, 11AM Mountain, 10AM Pacific) and ad hoc as new guidance is developed.

How to Participate
Step 1:
Enroll in the program – A one-time enrollment is required to participate in the Online Seminars. Program enrollees receive the registration information prior to each webinar. Openings are available for:
- IOs – To enroll, go to Enrollment Submission.
- IACUCs – Due to technical limitations in the number of participants OLAW can broadcast to simultaneously, participation is limited to one connection per location per institution. We suggest enrolling a representative to arrange viewing of the webinar for a group at your institution. To enroll, please submit the name of one individual to serve as the contact for your group at Enrollment Submission.
Step 2:
Register for the webinar – Prior to each webinar, enrollees will receive an e-mail invitation to register. Simply go to the link provided in the invitation and submit to register. After you have registered, you will receive a confirmation e-mail containing your unique URL for joining the webinar and have the option to add the event to your calendar.
About the Webinars
Format
Webinars typically include a 30-minute presentation followed by 30 minutes for questions and answers. Participants are encouraged to submit questions and suggestions for future topics by e-mail to OLAW at [email protected].
Recordings
Webinars are recorded. The recordings with captions, transcripts, and slides are posted on the Webinars and Podcasts webpage.
